Student opportunities and activities

At Bonnyrigg Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Our extra-curricular highlights

Debating and public speaking

Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.

School Farm

Environmentally conscious students can engage with the animals on our school farm.

School Garden

Our school garden has won the Fairfield City Council's school garden of the year! Students who have a green thumb are welcome to join the Garden Club.

Sports Events and Teams

Bonnyrigg Public school provides a variety of opportunities and training for sporting events including athletics, cross country, swimming carnivals, PSSA (Public School Sports Association) tournaments and weekly PE classes.

Creative and performing arts

Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.

Cultural and Language Groups

Our students enjoy cultural and language activities including the Murrabamg Waggagee Aboriginal Dance Group, Island Warriors and Vietnamese Dance Group

Trips and excursions

Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
